RPO Recruitment's client is a great mining company in Rustenburg, North West, which is seeking the expertise of a Plant General Manager to join their team of professionals.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and assess level of baseline risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment.Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.).Direct and manage the work force and material resources to meet production targets within the approved budgets.Plan for short and long-term production and maintenance strategies to stimulate process improvement and sustain production levels of ferrochrome in line with the company's corporate objectives.Manage Continuous Improvement through Operational Excellence.Ensure effective cost control systems are in place with reference to operating and capital expenditure as well as resource utilisation in order to maintain costs within the approved budget.RequirementsGrade 12.Degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.10 – 12 years' experience in a smelter mining environment.Minimum 5 years as Plant Manager / 3.1a appointment.BenefitsSalary: R2.8Mil/yr - R3Mil/yr.Training & Development.Family Leave.If you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by either filling in the online application form or emailing your CV to RPO Recruitment at ****** note that correspondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates for this position.
