Pit Supervisor

Key responsibilities:Overseeing daily Pit operations for enhanced efficiency and productivityImplementing, reinforcing and ensuring compliance to safety protocols to maintain a secure working environmentCollaborating with various departments to coordinate activities and resolve operational challengesImplementing best practices to improve overall pit performanceConduct regular safety inspections and risk assessmentsInvestigate incidents and implement corrective actionsEnsure that procedures and COPs are strictly adhered toTechnical supervisionMinimum requirements:Grade 127 years open cast experienceProcessing plant and mine planning experience will be advantageousComputer literacy MS OfficeEnglish proficiencyValid drivers licenseKnowledge of relevant legislationGood report writing skillsKnowledge of the Opencast Mining, and Engineering worksOpencast Blasting CertificateCompetent person A certificateProven leadership and managerial skillsIn-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practicesStrong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPhysically fit and able to pass a medical/fitness testAbility to operate without supervision and be able to work under pressureBe a self-starter and able to work according to deadlinesIntegrity, reliable and ethicalSound communication and interpersonal skills
