Job Description:We are looking for a Pharmacist Intern to join our team. This role is perfect for someone eager to develop their clinical and pharmaceutical skills while working closely with experienced pharmacists. As a Pharmacist Intern, you will gain invaluable experience in patient care, medication dispensing, compounding, and more, all while contributing to the overall well-being of our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and dispensing prescriptions
Provide patients with medication counselling and health advice under pharmacist supervision
Conduct patient medication reviews and address any queries they may have
Participate in compounding medications and other pharmacy services
Support inventory management, including ordering, stock control, and organisation
Work with the pharmacy team to ensure GPP compliance
Contribute to community health initiatives and wellness days
Requirements:
Completing/Completed B.Pharm degree (non-negotiable)
Eligible to register with SAPC as an intern (non-negotiable)
Strong interest in community pharmacy and patient-centred care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning
Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude
Basic knowledge of medical aid is an advantage
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
