PERMANENT role for a Social Worker- LAC, in East London.

SALARY: £36,567 - £46,041 per annum Up to £3,000 Recruitment & Retention Bonus. TYPE: PERMANENT TEAM: LAC & ASSESSMENT TEAMS HOURS: Full time (Monday to Friday) To support children and young people who are looked after. To formulate, prepare and implement Care Plans and Pathway Plans To manage a caseload including those in care proceedings, attend Court, prepare court statements and care plans and represent the Local Authority To prepare and present a range of reports, including reports for Court, Child Care Reviews, Professional and Planning meetings Complete assessments for children, young people and their families Involve children, young people, their families and other professionals in meetings and support them with decision making To have knowledge of services relevant to individuals, families, carers, groups and communities To work with children, young people and their families where reunification is the plan Conduct assessments of Children and young people's circumstances and issues to determine intervention / referral to the appropriate service. Plan and implement interventions and actions for allocated cases. Monitor and review cases. Assess in more complex cases, with guidance. Provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies supporting children and young people. Liaise internally and externally and work with colleagues from other agencies to ensure Children, young people and carers are supported Proactively develop professional knowledge, skills and behaviours. Supports colleagues in the team. Act in accordance with all policies and procedures which apply to the job and understand the reasons for this.
Qualified Social Worker Requirements
- CSW/CQSW/DipSW/BA/MA in Social Work and/or completion of ASYE or 2 years experience
- Current Social Worker England registration
- Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure
- Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
- Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people
