Together, let's build a brighter, healthier future for all.MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:Cross functional collaboration with all internal stakeholdersDocumenting and updating payroll policies and proceduresEnsure that company policies are adhered to in ESS AdministrationResolving all payroll discrepanciesSubmit Expatriate quarterly and annual reporting to New YorkAssist with Expatriate queriesLiaise with outsourcing payroll provider for payroll processingLiaise with tax service provider for completion of Expatriates' income tax returnsEMP201 Statutory Returns submission to SARSEMP501 Reconciliation process and submission to SARSProficient with SARS E@syfile SoftwareSARS Tax Directives for stock options and as requiredEx-Pat Quarterly, annual reporting and Month end reportingMonth end third party reconciliations for medical aids, funeral funds, retirement funds, group risk, unions, garnishee and maintenance orders amongst othersPension and provident fund reconciliations on third party portals where applicableSOX compliance testing and SOX design process flowsPeriodically assist in audit testingPurchase orders on SAP for payments to third partiesAssist with General Ledger reconciliation discrepanciesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Human Resources Management, Finance, or BusinessCertified Payroll Professional Designation (Preferred)Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in payroll or similar roleSolid financial acumen and strong accounting backgroundAdvanced Payroll Tax knowledge and relevant experienceStrong working knowledge of relevant tax legislation, employment conditions, and Bargaining Councils (advantageous)Experience in dealing with Expats and solid experience with PAYE, E-filing, Easyfile, and Emp501 reconciliationOur Commitment to Diversity, Equity & InclusionAchieving our purpose starts with our people — ensuring our workforce represents the people and communities we serve — and creating an environment where our people feel they belong; where we can be our authentic selves, feel treated with respect and have the support of leadership to impact the business in a meaningful way.Equal Opportunity EmployerColgate is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, ethnicity, age, disability, marital status, veteran status (United States positions), or any other characteristic protected by law.Reasonable accommodation during the application process is available for persons with disabilities.
