What we are looking for We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in payroll management, familiar with payroll practices and regulations across multiple African countries, including Nigeria and South Africa.
The ideal candidate is proficient in using payroll software such as Sage 300 or PaySpace and possesses strong knowledge of local HR laws and compliance.
What does the job involve Payroll and Payroll Taxes : Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate payroll tax calculations and reporting.
Payroll Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed payroll reports for management and regulatory bodies.
Contract Management: Manage employment contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and local labor laws.
Benefits and Leave Management: Administer employee benefits programs and manage leave policies.
Time and Attendance Management: Oversee the tracking of employee attendance and working hours.
Compensation, Benefits, and Time-Off Policy: Develop and implement compensation and benefits policies, including time-off management.
Compliance: Ensure all HR practices comply with local laws and regulations.
Qualifications Advanced Degree : A Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
Professional Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) are advantageous.
Additional HR Experience: Experience in broader HR functions beyond payroll, such as talent management, is a plus.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team and manage projects effectively.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to handle complex payroll calculations and reporting.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
