Roles and responsibilitiesProviding general administrative supportPerforming routine clerical duties including the processing of mail, filing, photocopying, faxing, data entry, scheduling of meetings related to recruitment procedures.Receipt of timesheetsCapturing and processing of all necessary dataRun a weekly, bi weekly and monthly payroll from beginning to endGather, obtain and analyze payroll input for processing from various operating points.Prepare weekly and monthly payrolls including deductions and earnings for approximately 500 employees at any given time (This includes the entire cycle of payroll processing, from capturing of new employees, leave, terminations and processing authorized claims)Check and upload payroll data to the VIP System Sage VIP People (latest version)Review and ensure accuracy of approved advances, travel, overtime claims and other variable earningsWork closely with the HR Team in operating branches and the Accounting section to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee dataMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS MS Office particularly ExcelFunctional Knowledge of BCEA and employment tax legislation in relation to payroll practicesVIP Payroll Systems (Specifically Sage VIP People)Solid knowledge of employee benefits and payroll administrationAttention to detail, methodical and accurateTaking accountability for tasks and see them through to completion timeouslyEntry level qualification Grade 12 with Accounting and or MathematicsNQF 5 or appropriate Diploma or Degree preferably in Payroll Management or Accounting.Min of 3 years experience within a relatively large payroll set-up
