As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our RCL FOODS team as a Payroll Accounting Manager.
The job holder will be required to work closely with the Finance, Audit and HR Teams within a matrix environment.

As the entrusted Payroll Accounting Manager, you will be required to:
make operational decisions that fall within the ambit of responsibility solve operational and resourcing problems within the ambit of responsibility identify and implement limited innovations that will lower costs As well as to provide payroll accounting services to group companies in order to ensure the completeness and accuracy of payrolls and statutory compliance with relevant legislation.
The role will be based in Westville and report to the Group HR Shared Services Executive.
Duties & Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Compliance: Adhere to legal requirements and comply with company and payroll specific policies and procedures. Development and implementation of processes to enhance compliance. Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. Payroll Reconciliations: Reconciliation of numerous financial accounts, payments and statutory returns. Reconciliations of third party payments. Review of all Manual Journal Entries. Annual Functions: Compiling and/or reviewing various annual submissions, provisions, reports etc. Directors Payroll: Management of Directors payroll from input through to payment. Payroll Integrity: Complete detailed review of payrolls in line with audit principles of completeness, accuracy, validity and valuation of data. Review of Extra-Ordinary payments/schedules e.g. Bonus, 13th Cheque, Increases. Conducting adhoc audits to ensure that all payments processed via payroll is in line with company policies. Audit Services: Facilitate the interface between payroll and both internal and external auditors. Facilitating the implementation of recommended audit findings. Managing statutory audits – COID/UIF. Payroll Services and Management: Performing various accounting and related tasks to ensure the accurate, timeous and complete monthly payrolls. Employment Tax Incentive. Computation of the Employment Tax Incentive. Customising the calculations to address varying payroll scenarios in the group. Supervising / Mentoring Payroll Accountants: Supervise staff activities, ensuring service levels are met and protocols are adhered to. Coach and support staff where necessary to achieve objectives. Supervise staff leave and general time management issues in line with organisational deliverables and standards. Conduct regular performance appraisals with subordinates. Minimum Requirements Qualification:
B.Com Honours in Accounting preferably CA(SA).
Skills and Experience:
5 years accounting/auditing experience
1 year SAP experience (preferable).
