Role reports to the Head of Finance and calls for a good base of payroll and accounting skills, ideally with Sage People experience, too. Full end-to-end payroll function. Great team culture.Responsibilities: Full payroll administration, incl VIP and setting up payment batches on online portal Payslips and IRP5s, Group Life and Disability Benefits, Medical Aid and Provident Fund, UIFWCALeave system maintenanceMid-year and tax year-end SARS recons and submissionsManage all payroll, benefits and tax queriesProcess employee movements (new employees and terminations)Record allowances and fringe benefitsPrepare and update monthly salary forecastMonthly salary provisionsPrepare monthly payroll recons and clear all reconciling items timeouslyPrepare payroll cash books for group companies and related staff trustsHandle investment instructionsPrepare salary increase lettersPrepare bank recons as well as third partyRequirements: Preference to a completed tertiary qualificationMinimum of 3-5 years' working experience within payroll and have accounting experienceGood knowledge of Sage People and Accounting Systems (Accpac or other)Thorough understanding of tax legislationStrong knowledge and experience of PAYE and statutory compliance and understand employee benefitsHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong planning and co-ordinating skills, good time managementHigh aptitude for numbers Good communication skills, written and verbal Independent, problem solver Please note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
