Pastry Chef

We are looking for a pastry chef with experience in specialty cakes and icing to join a coffee shop and bakery in Hillcrest.
A premiere coffee shop that offers fantastic food and cakes, along with catering services for all occasions.
Our Client prides themselves in creating delectable dishes with the finest ingredients and serving them with a smile.As the pastry chef, you will be responsible for:Baking cakes, pies, tarts, cookies, muffins, croissants and other sweet treatsDeveloping new recipes and menusEnsuring quality standards and customer satisfactionManaging inventory and costsComplying with health and safety regulationsIcing of cakes with quality, creativity and perfection.To be considered for this position, you must have:A relevant qualification in pastry or baking (Advantageous) At least 3 years of experience as a pastry chef or bakerA creative flair and a passion for baking especially in regard to cake decoration/icingExcellent communication and leadership skillsA positive attitude and a willingness to learnSalary - R10 000 - R12 000 per month, depending on your qualifications and experience.
