Purpose of Position:To manage, coordinate, and track all artwork during the design and approval phase and ensure compliance thereafter. Coordinate the submission of all site documentation required by various stakeholders.Requirements:Matric/Grade 12 National Diploma in Food Technology plus Diploma in Packaging Technology is essential.At least 4-5 years relevant packaging development experience.Artwork origination and printing process knowledge.3 years' experience in regulatory compliance for local and export markets will be an advantage.Computer literate.Valid driver's license and own vehicle is essential.Key Responsibilities:Manage artwork approval for all company site products for local and export markets in conjunction with Marketing/Regulatory Affairs/Procurement.Liaise with the design house and manage all artwork changes or comments.Ensure that artwork is circulated and approved by relevant stakeholders and handed over to the design house.Ensure the design house loads or transfers latest versions to printing suppliers.Maintain signed off/approved PDF artwork files.Keep an up to date tracking register for all artwork changes.Attend and support first productions runs (colour proofing) at supplier facilities.Investigate and liaise with suppliers on new packaging designs.Take a lead role for all packaging material trials at the factory.Action packaging material BOM requests.Update and issue component matrix to the factory.Ensure component data on barcode scanning system is updated and correct.Manage and issue colour standards and component standards to relevant departments.Initiate change controls for all changes relating to packaging.Ensure adequate system administration of packaging documentation i.e. workmaps, specifications, supplier manual deviations, and incoming inspection reports.Conduct packaging supplier audits.Assist with packaging material troubleshooting and ensure that deviations raised are actioned and closed off by suppliers.Key Behavioral Dimensions and Skills:Pro-active and energetic with a high level of attention to detail/accuracy.Organizational commitment and integrity.Analytical and Quality orientated.Good planning and organizing skills.Good verbal and written communication.Good time management skills.Good interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a team.Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionDesign, Art/Creative, and Information TechnologyIndustriesStaffing and Recruiting
