Packaging Technician (Bellville Factory)Purpose Of The RoleTo supervise the packaging team on shift, ensuring production pallets are scored and maintained, adhering to production, quality and safety standards, as well as maintaining packaging equipment on shift.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervises and supports the packaging process (Labor, shift change over, line stoppages, repacks and admin including sign off on job changes)Attends to breakdowns and reports to incidences to Shift Manager timeously.Applies faultfinding skills, implements improvements on packaging equipment and identifies and fixes problems on the equipment.Maintains packaging equipment by ensuring smooth running of equipment from lowerator to shrouder out feed.Responsible for the effective running of Palletizer, Shuttle Car and MSK, ensures that all shrouding conforms to the SOP's.Verifies and compares production on GR8 vs. actual pallets produced. Compares production pallet count with warehouse pallet count.
