United Exports is a completely integrated international fruit breeder,producer, and exporter with a particular focus on new blueberry varieties. Ourleading blueberry brand, OZblu, is helping grow the category and set newstandards across the globe. We are looking for a Packaging Materials Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be reporting to the Packhouse Manager and be willing to assist with any ad hoc production functions.

Key Performance Outputs Manage supplier relationships andnegotiate prices Manage supplier approvals and keepcompliance documentation up to date Prepare and manage department against budget Plan packagingsupply, place orders and ensure sufficient weekly and daily packaging materialis avalaible as per production requirements Receive all packaging material, ch eckreceipt against orders and ensure documentation is in order. Ensure that a standard process, as per BRCrequirements, is in place and followed by every team member Manage all packaging movement accurately real-time on ERP system Check invoice price against order priceand follow up any discrepancies Monitor and report anyincidents of waste and stock variances Manage packagingorders and dispatches from growers and ensure that documentation accompaniesany movement, ERP system transactions are done real-time anddocumentation is uploaded Ensure packaging inventory control procedures complywith company policy and food safety standards Implement and maintain BRC system forpackaging inventory department Maintain superior housekeeping and appearancethroughout Set up and maintaining all production Bills ofMaterial Do stock counts as per scheduled cyclerequirements, investigate and report variances. Ad hoc counts will be announced Supervise a small team handling diverse functions General maintenance of data integrity in the ERP system to ensurephysical inventory counts always match that which is on the system Engage with IT team to set up reports which aid in packaging materialmanagement and reconciliation Export lug and pallet management and reconciliation on any 3 rd party site

Requirements Education/ Qualification Senior certificate / grade 12 / matric. Suitable tertiary qualification. Minimum 2 years experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance
Functional/ Technical Technical knowledge ofthe fruit industry Product knowledge – softfruit category Basic Food Safety Awareness– HACCP, IFS 22000, BRC
