The Site Civil Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all civil aspects of renewable energy construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves monitoring civil works, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Civil Supervisor plays a critical role in the successful delivery of renewable energy projects, contributing to a sustainable energy futureDuties and responsibilities Project Supervision Monitor all civil works/activities on the construction site.Ensure that all civil works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.Monitor the progress of civil works and ensure that project timelines are met.Site ManagementMonitor the daily operations of civil teams and subcontractors.Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly.Quality Implement quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.Monitor that Quality plans are followedConduct inspections and tests on materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications.Document and report any quality issues, and coordinate with the project team to implement corrective actions.Health, Safety, and Environmental ComplianceEnsure all civil activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, and promote a culture of safety on-site.Implement and enforce safe work practices and procedures.Coordination and CommunicationCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project coordination.Communicate project progress, challenges, and updates to the construction manager and other relevant parties.Participate in project meetings and provide input on civil aspects of the project.Resource ManagementEnsure that all resources are used efficiently and effectively to meet project objectives.Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.Documentation and ReportingMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of all civil activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection reports.Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, highlighting any issues or delays.Ensure all project documentation is properly filed and accessibleTechnical SupportProvide technical guidance and support to civil teams and contractors.Assist in the resolution of technical issues and challenges that arise during construction.Ensure that all technical solutions are feasible and align with project requirements.Required skills and education background. Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil EngineeringMinimum of 5 years of experience in civil supervision, preferably within the renewable energy or construction industry.Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and industry standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in construction management software and tools.Valid driver s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.Desirable attributesThe ideal candidate would have a passion for the Renewable Energy sector and personality traits would include a high level of diligence, determination, resilience, and agility.Additional Information Able to work overtime according to operational needs.Travel may be required occasionally.
