Job Description:As an Operator Grade 2, you will be responsible to:Perform inspections at fixed time intervals (day and night) as per the inspection guideline provided for the Sishen Tailings FacilityReport any deviations noted at the facility as per the guidelines providedNote and record measurements at the TSF as prescribed by the operation manualMove deposition points on the TSF in accordance with the operating philosophy of the facility.Open and close valves as required by the deposition strategyStop and start clean water pumps as required by the operational requirementManage the water recovery system of the TSF; this will involve the movement and handling of penstock rings and the operation of the facility silt trapUnblock blocked pipes where requiredClear mud to expose deposition pipes for repairsRemove vegetation on the facility where requiredClean around pumps where requiredTrain on and operate earth moving equipment as part of developmental programAdhere to all health and safety practices requirements and promote good housekeeping to ensure compliance and an environment where team members can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.This role is in the Processing department in Plant Operations at a P6 level, reporting to the Shift Supervisor Qualifications:You will need the following:Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Technical CertificatePreferably completed MQA level 2 Plant Learnership / Or Mining LearnershipValid Driver's LicenseSuccessful completion of Valid Dover: Minimum level 2+ requiredExperience:Sound knowledge and experience of Plant processes.
