About the Role Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Team Leader to drive operational excellence in their Rustenberg branch and ensure exceptional customer service delivery.
This dynamic role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills to oversee daily operations, manage teams, and optimize branch efficiency.
Reports To : National Operations Manager Location: Waterval East, Rustenburg, North-West Province, South Africa Key Responsibilities Ensure the delivery of a positive Customer Experience in the provisioning of services Allocate cranes and crews for relevant jobs, including inter-branch assignments.
Collaborate with sales representatives for site surveys and ensure seamless customer service.
Review and approval of service providers as required Schedule and oversee the transportation of equipment(counterweights, outrigger pads, rigging gear), staff, and materials to project sites.
Manage road permit requirements and ensure all applicable road permits are available before commencement of work.
Oversee compliance with SHEQ protocols.
Conduct site visits, report non-conformances, and resolve on-site issues.
Maintain branch assets, ensuring vehicles and equipment are operational and maintained in good condition and running order.
Manage administrative duties, including updating of certification files, daily cranes master data management, and employee records update and maintenance.
Manage staff timekeeping and "living out allowance claims" as required Assess training needs and support ongoing staff development.
Handle after-hour client and operator requirements Requirements What we're looking for: Qualifications : Matric or equivalent.
First Line Management/Supervisory qualification (essential).
NQF Level 7 in Operations or Business Management (advantageous).
Valid Driver's licence Experience : 3-5 years of management experience, within the same or a similar industry.
Proven track record of leading teams across multiple operating sites.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel Working knowledge and application of business and operations management and related processes Key Skills and competencies : Exceptional planning and organisation Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Financial acumen and numeracy skills Good communication and influencing skills Operations/business management Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
