For this reason we choose &Beyonders very carefully they are the strength and the future of this company.KEY OUTPUTSMeet and Greet all GuestsCover all daily and weekly requirements of the Lodge Manager when on leaveHost agents, media and groupsEnsure guest delights happen dailyHost evenings as required by business levelsWeekly planning training, guest requirement and staffing levelsHousekeeping-Room checksKitchenEnsure that minimum standards as per BOPs are adhered to in all departmentsWeekly visits to Vlei LodgeDepartmental and finance meetingsPositive HealthStaff WelfareTrainingStock takeComplete performance reviews for those staff reporting to youEnsure the departments you are responsible for have their performance reviews completed on timeAttend Health and Safety meeting each month and ensure your departments have made any necessary adjustmentsEnsure any overruns in time sheets in your departments are remedied with under-timeBudget linesPromote teamwork between departmentsKNOWLEDGE REQUIREDAt least 3 years relevant experience in a 5-star operationSome form of managerial trainingCompany Knowledge (andBeyond as well as Wild Impact)Valid unendorsed SA drivers license essential.SKILLS REQUIREDCommunication skills - with guests and fellow staff membersLateral thinking abilityInitiativeProfessional, courteous, hospitable to guestsMust be able to cope under pressure to meet guests needsLeadershipHonest, have good integrity, proactive and driven person who has career ambitionsGood interpersonal skillsPassion for guest delightPREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREDExperience in the service industry especially in dealing with guests and staffPrevious camp or lodge manager experiencePrevious experience in working with kids an advantageThis is a permanent live-in position, based at Phinda Forest LodgeTransport to/from leave cycles is the successful candidates own responsibilityWe reserve the right to not appoint.
