Operations Manager (Middleburg & Witbank)

National group are seeking an experienced Operations Manager for their Middleburg & Witbank branches.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Complies with store operations, stock handling, and efficient receiving of stock.
Safeguards store process, operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Writing incident reports in cases of non-compliance.
Controls stock accuracy levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Management of staff, maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintains store job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Processes orders and liaises with customers and branch personnel.
Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.
Ensures that delivery deadlines are met.
Efficient fleet management and cost-efficient containment.
Ensures productive stock take and cycle count and daily gas count.
Cylinder reconciliation.
Back orders management.
Supports sales team while on site and in the office to meet the branch financial targets.

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12
3 year tertiary qualification in Sales, Warehouse or Logistics
3+ years experience in a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment
Have a valid driver's license
Have a good working understanding of warehouse stock management
Target driven and results orientated
Good customer service skills
Be computer literate
Have good interpersonal skills
Analytical minded
Good numeracy skills

REMUNERATION
R20,000 To R25,000 (Basic negotiable on experience and qualification)
