Operations Manager Industrial

We are looking for an Operations Manager Industrial. An allrounder with strong industrial or technical engineering background. Experienced in operations management of the workshop, industrial engineering, maintenance, heavy engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, financial management, people management, strategic leadership, business development, forecasting, risk management, continuous improvement, customer relationship management, business acumen, business process improvement, and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, coordinating, organising and implementing various objectives in the industrial division to meet the organizational goals, and to ensure the business unit's profitability and sustained growth.Duties include, but are not limited to:Provide strategic leadership, direction and overall managementIdentify business opportunities within the industrial sectorLiaise with clients and execution teams regarding scope of businessPrepare annual budgets and strategic plans and ensure effective control thereofReview financial forecasts and report on variancesCo-ordinate activities of several alternatives concurrently across business boundariesGuide operational issues, monitor progress and make necessary adaptationsProvide direction on both tactical- and operational implicationsPerform duties and responsibilities as specified by Managing DirectorEnsure good governance of business unitReview business processes for improvementManage and motivate a competent supervisory teamProactively work with marketing teams to secure work for the unitEnsure that operations, logistics, safety, procurement, marketing and human resource issues aresupported and co-ordinatedSupport and ensure a positive and dynamic culture exist in the unitRequirementsMinimum 10 years' management experience of which at least four at a senior level in an industrialenvironmentBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineeringConsiderable knowledge of the principals, techniques, and practices of the industryStrong planning, organising and directing skillsDynamic drive and results orientationGood financial planning understanding and strategic management skillsAble to foster good internal and external relationship
