Operations ManagerClosing Date : 2024-11-27 Closed : No Description: Our client, Dutoit Vegetables, based outside Prince Alfred Hamlet (Western Cape), has an opportunity for an Operations Manager to join their team. The main focus of the role will be managing and coordinating the packing facility in line with best practice principles.
The ideal candidate must have excellent management and interpersonal skills, along with a methodical approach to problem-solving and the ability to streamline and optimise processes. A strong analytical mindset is essential for breaking down complex issues, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions that enhance operational performance.
The candidate will report directly to the Commercial Director: Vegetables and will form part of the Senior Management team. Responsibilities will include:
Managing and optimising the packaging facility and processesEnsuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and food safety standardsMaintenance and safety of the facilityPersonnel management and motivationDeveloping and overseeing the operations budgetEnsuring packaging qualityAll other tasks related to the role.Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: Relevant tertiary qualification;5-8 years' experience, preferably in a similar packhouse management role;Excellent computer skills;Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English);Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.Please apply online at www.m3online.co.za before 09:00 on 27 November 2024.
