Job DescriptionDear Future Operations Head,
The Operational Head must possess the aptitude to manage the processing of complex structured lending deals and demonstrate both strategic and tactical abilities to create efficiencies across the business unit. The role is focused on driving operational effectiveness, cost efficiency, and superior service delivery, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Are you someone who has experience in the following: Expertise in Structured Lending:Provide strategic oversight and hands-on management of complex structured lending deals, ensuring alignment with client needs and compliance with banking regulations.Develop best practices for structuring, processing, and closing deals efficiently.Achievement of Financial Growth:Establish, align, and manage target and budget goals for the Business Unit, ensuring effective control of costs for various functional areas to enhance cost efficiency.Drive net profit growth through operational excellence.Manage the cost-to-income ratio to increase profitability and efficiency.Resource and Staff Management:Maintain optimal efficiencies regarding staff numbers and associated resources by setting budget requirements in line with the business plan and ensuring compliance.Execute strategies that ensure staffing levels and skills are aligned with business needs, improving productivity and operational efficiency.Risk Management and Mitigation:Develop and implement risk assessment frameworks to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks in structured lending transactions, ensuring deals minimize financial exposure while optimizing returns for the business.Process Innovation and Automation:Lead the evaluation and implementation of technological solutions and process automation to streamline structured lending operations, reduce manual processing, and improve turnaround times while ensuring compliance and risk control.Service Delivery and Client Segmentation:Develop and implement differentiated service models tailored to various client segments, ensuring tailored service delivery and enhancing client satisfaction.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., credit, legal, risk, and product) to ensure seamless integration of structured lending processes across business units.Operational Efficiencies and Continuous Improvement:Drive operational efficiencies, ensuring the delivery of superior quality customer experiences by continuously improving operational processes, workflows, and procedures.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, regularly reviewing and refining operational processes to enhance efficiency and employee adaptability.Cross-functional Collaboration:Collaborate with other areas and departments to ensure integrated processes that meet operational requirements, improve service delivery, and optimize financial discipline in terms of budget and growth strategies.Regulatory and Compliance Leadership:Monitor changes in legislation, regulations, and industry practices, ensuring the drafting and implementation of appropriate interventions to maintain compliance.Ensure the Business Unit remains ahead of regulatory changes, guiding teams to adapt quickly and effectively to new industry requirements.Key Performance Metrics & Reporting:Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for structured lending operations.Ensure timely reporting and use of real-time data analytics to inform business decisions, improve operational performance, and drive success.Stakeholder Engagement:Serve as the primary operational liaison with senior leadership, clients, and external partners, ensuring structured lending transactions are managed efficiently and align with business and client expectations.Business Intelligence and Decision-Making:Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence, analyzing trends and data to enhance operational strategies and drive growth.Execution of People Strategy:Execute the Business Unit people strategy that nurtures talent, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, accountability, and innovation to meet both current and future business needs.Hold direct reports accountable for implementing leadership strategies that drive high performance and align with the business's overall vision.Strategic Planning and Forecasting:Contribute to long-term strategic planning by analyzing structured lending trends, market conditions, and economic forecasts to inform budget setting, resource allocation, and growth strategies.You will be an ideal candidate if you have: Minimum qualification: Degree (preferably in Engineering or Finance)5 to 10 years' experience in a similar role.You will have access to: Opportunities to network and collaborateA challenging working environmentOpportunities to innovateWe can be a match if you are: Adaptable and curiousHave a proven successful track record.Thrive in a collaborative environmentAre you interested to take the step?
