Operational Accountant

LOCATION: Germiston
SALARY AND BENEFITS: R25 000 – R40000 p/m negotiable depending on experience
DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS:
A large specialist manufacturing Company on Johannesburg's East Rand has a role available for an operational Accountant, in their production division. Reporting to the Finance Manager – the successful Accountant will assume responsibility for the full accounting function for their division.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

BCom degree in Accounting
Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles
Exposure to manufacturing or transport clients during articles will be beneficial
Must live close to the East Rand, or be willing to relocate

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The financial accountant's responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Processing of month end Journals/ Accruals to update TB for month end close off.
Compiling for review and submitting VAT returns to head office and SARS.
Preparing of Monthly reports for Management Reports.
Liaison in budgeting process between finance and different departments
Assisting with Budgets.
Fixed assets
