Oil And Gas Consultant

Details of the offer

Purpose of the Role Provide technical services, including development of technical outputs, inspections, and management of contractors for clients on an EPCM basis. The role involves office-based work with regular site visits during procurement, installation, and commissioning stages. Additionally, support the Business Development Department with technical expertise. Key Performance Areas Proposals / Business Development Technical lead in proposal development Concept development and feasibility checks Technical specifications and risk identification Design Development Concept/Basic design development Review of technical outputs Compilation and review of enquiry packages EPCM Project Delivery Manage project sub-packages within budget, time, and quality constraints Oversee site installation and construction Control package scope and manage changes Departmental and Company Processes Ensure compliance with client and company processes Interface with various functional areas (Design, Procurement, Legal, Finance, SHEQ) Utilize ERP and project management software systems Qualifications Minimum: National Diploma in Engineering Preferred: Qualified Engineer Technologist or Technician Registration with ECSA or recognized international body Project management courses based on PMBOK principles Experience Minimum 10 years' experience in the Oil & Gas sector, including: 5 years as Project Coordinator or related role 3 years in Design Engineering in the Oil & Gas Industry Practical site construction experience (advantageous) Competencies Knowledge Thorough understanding of PMBOK project management principles In-depth knowledge of quality, environmental, and safety management systems Strong grasp of contract management and requirements Comprehensive understanding of project scheduling Familiarity with regulatory and safety governance Technical competence within the applicable Knowledge Area Skills Proficient in MS Office, IFS, Primavera, and MS Projects Strong technical competence in relevant engineering fields Excellent leadership and communication skills High degree of analytical thinking Adaptability and flexibility Strong administrative and organizational abilities Behavior High degree of integrity and loyalty Self-motivated with ability to work independently Enthusiastic and energetic approach to work Strong accountability and conceptual thinking Team player with ability to generate team spirit Excellent stakeholder relationship management Methodical with strong attention to detail Open-minded and flexible to client and organizational requirements Effective conflict management skills High emotional intelligence
