EXPERIENCE: 3 years| QUALIFICATION: NQF 6 in Occupation Health KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: To anticipate, recognize, evaluate and control stressors related to work, environment thereby meeting various legal obligations, ensuring a healthy workforce thus preventing possible, future claims, which includes but not limited to: -Occupational health risk assessment and evaluation -COP management -Sampling -Audits, investigations and inspections -Laboratory management -Reporting and data integrity control -SHERQ adherence -Work Ethics QUALIFICATIONS -Grade 12 -Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health -Intermediate Certificate: Mine Environmental Control Technologist Level: Southern African Institute for Occupational Hygiene OTHER REQUIREMENTS -Medically fit -Drivers license | Valid Code B/EB drivers license -Legal Appointment EXPERIENCE -Minimum of three years (3) Operational Occupational Hygiene Practitioner experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES -Computer literacy o Basic user of MS Office, Achiever and Isometrix -Statutory Knowledge o Working knowledge of MHSA o Hazardous Chemical Substance Act o OHSA o COIDA (basic knowledge) -Influencing Skills o Ability to influence line managers and employees regarding occupational health related matters -Equipment usage o Personal sampling pumps and accessories o Calibrators, Noise, dosimeters, Temperature stress monitor, -Vibration monitor, Real time analyzers, Scales, Lux meters, sound level meter -Sampling methodologies o NIOHS methodologies working knowledge REGISTRATION -SA Institute of Occupational Hygienist (SAIOH) -Mine Ventilation Society Intermediate certificate TERMS & CONDITIONS The candidate will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit as per Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
