Ecowize is looking for an experienced New Business Development & Technical Consultant to join the Products division in Eastern Cape. If you have a passion for sales and proven experience in the hygiene industry, this position is for you.
The purpose of the New Business Development & Technical Consultant is to implement business development strategies that focus on financial gain and onboarding new customers. The successful incumbent will be responsible for all duties that drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and establishing strong relationships with customers.
High-level Objectives:
Identify new markets and customer needs, to ensure value added service.
Promote the company's products.
Manage sales targets effectively.
Achieving daily and weekly call ratios to ensure targets are met.
Ensure business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Focus on new business development in Food industry sectors.
Meet agreed sales targets by developing and implementing a growth strategy that focuses on specific market segments.
Develop your own customer database by creating and expanding a customer pipeline, weekly and monthly targets to be met.
Complete client site surveys and supply solutions to the clients.
Supply management with reports on customer needs and problems.
Negotiate sales and clinch business deals.
Initiate invoicing & payment.
Conduct handing over of new contracts to operations.
Focus on value of offering – follow up with after sales service.
Improve and maintain standard of service.
Implement customer product training when required.
Present reports - sales trends, customer growth, customer issues.
Able to adapt to specific market.
Requirements:
Grade 12.
3-5 years' experience in selling products to the food and beverage industry.
Exposure in bio security and hospitality applications that includes Open plant, CIP bio security products to poultry, swine or dairy farmers.
Proven track record in establishing and growing hygiene markets.
Excellent selling, communication, and strong negotiation skills.
Practical knowledge of the environment where products are used.
Ability to train internal and external clients at all levels.
Ability and willingness to assist clients during a night-shift audit, if and when needed.
Must have a valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle.

Highly computer literate: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
