Vacancy: New Business Development Representative Region: KZN
Reporting to: Sales Manager
Overall Purpose of the Job: The incumbent will be responsible for sales of the company's cleaning services, while ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues.
Minimum Requirements Minimum of 3 years' experience in Cleaning / Service Industry – preferably from a solution contract sales industryExperience in selling soft services / similar services would be an advantageTertiary qualification (preferred)Fully computer literate on MS Office, Advanced word, excel and PowerPoint skillsCold calling and telemarketing where necessaryExperienced in sourcing new business, conducting "Needs Analysis" and preparing custom solution proposals.Proven sales track record achieving sales targetsExcellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)Good interpersonal skillsAbility to interact with clients at all levelsAssertiveValid SA driver's license and own vehicleJob Specification Works with a defined sales quota focusing on initiating relationships with multi-level decision-makers through phone, marketing, e-mail / direct mail campaigns, in-person contacts / cold calling, networking, and presentationsAchieve monthly sales targets as set out in budgetCorrectly cost new business achieving the maximum margin on new businessEnsure contracts are correctly signed and filed for new businessPlan, set budgets and targetsPrepare quotes and present to clients as soon as possible meeting the client's expectationsPrepare proposals which clearly set out the terms and conditions for the proposed contract / tenderProspects potential customers within the target profileDevelop, build and maintain strong relationships with potential customersDevelop innovative and creative solutions to identify and develop new customersProposes and closes sales that achieve set company target according to company policies and proceduresSustains sales activities; appointments, proposals, cold calls, database updates and reportingKeeps abreast of changes in technology and ability to increase knowledge of the cleaning industry and services the company offersPRO at client functionsMaintain contact with existing clients and develop new businessTimeous handling of queriesWhere appropriate provide alternatives to ensure we get the businessFormally introduce operations staff to new clients before commencementEnsure operational staff receives the correct documentation to start contracts or special jobProvide onsite assistance on start of contractFollow-up with operations to ensure that contract is functioning in accordance with specificationsPlan weekly sales prospectsPrepare and present weekly / monthly sales reports at month end / weekly sales meetingsTarget projectsRe-quoting at existing businessAssist with training of new sales staffSurvey prospective clients' premises and compile quotations based on an agreed working rate per square meter as per specificationsAble to handle a number of different assignments at the same timeBehavioural Competencies: Demonstrates a drive to succeed and be able to work independently to build a pipeline of business in order to grow company revenueDemonstrates a high degree of honesty, integrity, diligence, charisma, innovation, and customer-service attitude and projects a professional appearance / demeanour to inspire confidence in our customersPlans and prioritizes business opportunities, very organized, always punctual, and professional on the telephone, face to face and all other levels of engagement and keeps manager appraised of all sales activitiesDemonstrates ability in problem solving and negotiation with special emphasis on closing the saleStrong liaison and communication skills
