The position reports to the National Reverse Logistics Manager Your responsibilities will include: Operational Duties Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to maximize sales and optimize recovery rates through optimizing existing sales channels and identifying and exploring new sales channels. Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP): Ensure an integrated short term and long-term planning and forecasting process that aligns demand, supply, and financial objectives with particular focus on managing stock ageing. Sales Achievement: Meet or surpass sales targets and objectives by identifying opportunities, developing sales plans, and implementing strategies to secure bulk transactions while maintaining acceptable recovery rates. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key bulk buyers, understanding their needs, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Building out a pipeline of demand with buyers. Reporting: Analyze sales data and prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for senior management to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales administrators across different regions. Provide guidance, coaching, and conduct performance evaluations. Market Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts to identify new opportunities and tailor sales strategies accordingly. Supply and demand: Collaborate with the operations team to ensure adequate stock levels, punctual delivery, and quality control of assessed stock. Budget Management: Assist in preparing annual sales budget and then ensure that department deliver results in line with agreed budget. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to sales activities. Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as finance, legal, marketing, logistics, and operations to optimize the overall customer experience and to streamline the sales operations process. Travelling: Travelling within South Africa as needed to meet and source new buyers. Attributes required Strategic thinker with an initiative-taking and entrepreneurial mindset. Qualifications: Diploma or Advanced Certificate in business, marketing, or a related field. A bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma is advantageous. 3 to 5 years minimum experience (demonstrated successful sales history experience), preferably within the E-commerce, Retail, FMCG, Banking. Understanding of e-commerce returns and recovery processes. Minimum 2 years people management experience.
