As we expand, we seek a skilled and strategic National Operations Manager to oversee our operations, ensuring efficiency, high standards, and continued growth. This role is crucial to our mission of becoming a leading name in the Padel industry.
About the Role
The National Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all operational aspects of our Padel clubs, including staff, facilities, member experience, and strategic growth initiatives. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in sports club management, business development, and operations. The ideal candidate will be both a strategic thinker and a tactical executor, capable of driving operational excellence and supporting the company's expansion plans.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Oversee the daily operations of all Padel clubs,
Implement high standards of facility management, court maintenance, and member experience.
Manage the opening and closing procedures for each club, ensuring consistency and quality.
Implement and manage operational systems and processes to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Monitor and respond to operational challenges, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted operations.
Manage leagues, grow community and resolve member inquiries.
Implement best practices in club management.
Staff Management
Recruit, train, and manage club staff, including retail, coaching, and administrative teams.
Develop staff rosters and ensure adequate coverage across all clubs.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement staff development programs.
Strategic Development & Business Growth
Identify and pursue new club opportunities and expansion plans, including multi-sports complexes
Develop and maintain partnerships and sponsorships that enhance the brand and business.
Lead initiatives to enhance member engagement, retention, and community building.
Organising leagues, managing memberships, and engaging with members.
Leverage Sports Club Experience to enhance member experience.
Utilize experience in managing sports clubs Implement best practices in club management.
Financial Management
Oversee financial forecasting, budget allocation, and execution across all clubs.
Manage accounts, including invoicing, VAT submissions, and financial reporting.
Work with external accountants for year-end tax submissions and financial audits.
Marketing Communications & PR
Lead marketing efforts, incl. social media management, event promotions, member communications.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute a cohesive brand strategy.
Oversee the creation of promotional materials, corporate event brochures, and digital content.
Facility & Equipment Management
Manage the maintenance and upkeep of all Padel facilities, including court surfaces, nets, and turf.
Oversee inventory management for pro-shop stock, rental equipment, and facility supplies.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all facilities.
Human Resources
Define and manage staff roles, responsibilities, and performance objectives.
Lead employee onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development.
Develop and implement staff incentive programs and address performance issues proactively.
Project Management
Track and coordinate timelines for new developments, from planning through to launch.
Ensure clear communication and transparency with stakeholders, incl. regular updates and reports.
Coaching & Program Development:
Develop and oversee coaching programs and schedules.
Provide coaching sessions as needed to members and ensure the quality of coaching staff.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Sports Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably sports or hospitality industries.
Proven experience in managing multi-site operations and leading diverse teams.
Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience with digital tools such as Playtomic or similar sports management software.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel between sites as required.
Padel or similar racket sports experience is an advantage.
Proficiency in social media management and marketing.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Coaching certification or relevant experience is a plus.
