Managed Talent Solutions, a Business Unit within Datacentrix, is looking for an experienced Learning Management System: Moodle Specialist who will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and overseeing the company's learning management system (LMS) application and environment.
The primary responsibility includes optimizing LMS application performance, documenting the operation and support processes and procedures related to the LMS application and environment, investigating, and resolving LMS application and server environment errors, and communicating with the business community.
The LMS Specialist will be expected to collaborate with IT, learning colleges, and business to adhere to and maintain policies, processes, and procedures related to maintenance, update, upgrade, integration, and development of the LMS application and environment.
Education and Skills Required: MatricMoodle Educator Certification, Moodle Partner CertificationExperience with other LMS platforms.Understanding of e-learning standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI).Knowledge of cloud-based Moodle hosting solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure)3 or more years of experience with administration, development, and customization of a LMS in a business or educational environment.Demonstrated experience with different Moodle hosting solutions and knowledge of relevant security requirements.Demonstrated experience with data management and query building. Duties and Responsibilities: Configure, administer, maintain, update, and document the Moodle LMS environment.Supervise the security, performance, and fault tolerance of the Moodle LMS environment.Partner with business areas utilizing Moodle / LMS.Consult with instructional designers, business, and other users of the LMS environment to support the integration and development of features and customizations for the LMS application.Oversee relationships with related vendors and host providers, enforcing SLA and support expectations.Respond to inquiries and requests from users for Moodle-related assistance as escalated through the support process.Develop an all-encompassing policy on Moodle, including access rights, and identifying roles on Moodle.Assign, grant, and approve roles and responsibilities of users.Integrate educational technologies to improve teaching and learning.Document the Moodle LMS environment and plug-ins.Site administration: Set up and change key features of the learner management platform, including the site's front page, mobile app, messaging, notifications, location, and language.Arrange for plugins and upgrades: install plugins and upgrade the Moodle site as directed by IT.Upgrade self if possible, or at least manage it with the vendor.Provide ongoing support across the business.Respond to user inquiries and requests for assistance.Create and assist programme heads to generate management reports across projects.Provide best practice expertise to content owners, developers of programmes to ensure continuous improvement of learning material and how users access content.Develop roles and duties and present training workshops for content owners to use Moodle.Collaborate with each functional owner to develop and import course content, update content, build engaging pre and post assessments for content, and create learner dashboards to track progress and leaders.Design online training modules where required.Adding and managing badges, creating competency frameworks, and learning plan templates.Assist, develop, and implement IT training initiatives.
