Our Client is looking for a Mine Manager to join their team based in Manica, Mozambique.
Salary: Negotiable Responsibilities: Plan, oversee, and coordinate all mining activities to achieve production targets.
Ensure the efficient use of resources, including equipment, labor, and materials.
Oversee the extraction and processing of ore while maintaining quality standards.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Implement and promote a strong safety culture across the mine.
Conduct regular safety drills and ensure emergency preparedness.
Lead, train, and manage mining and support teams, including engineers, supervisors, and technical staff.
Assign duties, evaluate performance, and handle employee grievances.
Promote professional development and training of staff.
Prepare and manage the mine's budget, including cost control and financial forecasting.
Analyze and manage financial reports to ensure profitability.
Seek ways to optimize operational costs while maintaining production levels.
Engage with external stakeholders, including investors, government agencies, and local communities.
Address concerns and maintain positive relationships with the local community and government bodies.
Ensure the mine's activities positively impact the surrounding areas.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, ideally in gold mining.
