Attending to plant electrical and mechanical breakdowns in a shift.
Ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with the safety regulations and advising the maintenance manager on any risks or improvements required for all equipment.
Replacing defective machine parts or adjusting clearances and alignment of moving parts.
Dismantling machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
Shrink-fitting bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified items, using portable gas heating equipment.
Conducting safety and equipment inspections.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and detailed repair drawings related to equipment and machines.
Is this job for you?
An ideal candidate must have a Diploma in Engineering or a minimum of an N3 engineering qualification and a Millwright Trade test.
You need to have 5 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing/plant environment, exposure to WinCC flowcharts, and an understanding of PLC I/Os to assist in fault finding.
Experience in Variable Speed drives, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems is required.
Good communication skills and project management knowledge are essential, along with familiarity with EWO and Kaizen methodologies.
