Millwright Germiston

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on foundry equipment, including medium frequency furnaces, automated moulding machines, green sand plant and related equipment, and other machinery specific to foundry industry.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Conduct inspections to identify and address potential equipment failures or safety hazards. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, and related equipment. Fabricate and modify parts as needed using tools and machinery.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs of all work performed.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist with the planning and execution of equipment upgrades and new installations.
Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed.

Experience
Minimum 3 years Proven hands-on experience as a millwright in a foundry or similar industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair.
Proficiency with tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair tasks.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings and schematics.

Certifications
Trade tested Millwright certification
