Job Title: MillwrightGrade: C2Reports To: Front end ForemanDepartment / Centre: Front endMain Purpose Of The JobThe purpose of the role is to provide full plant support to a sugar milling operation, to ensure continuous and reliable production.Minimize loss time.The role works on a 3 shift pattern and the millwright is assigned an assistant.Perform preventative maintenance activities.Perform corrective maintenance activities.Attend to breakdowns and callouts.Perform repairs and overhaul of mechanical and electrical equipment including installation and commissioning.Perform new installation as per plant requirement.Assist with ad-hoc tasks as per operational needs.Contribute to plant reliability by highlighting defects and completion of work orders.General housekeeping.Ensure SHE Compliance, comply with all safety rules and regulations.Qualifications & ExperienceMillwright/Fitting (Trade tested).Minimum 3 years fitting experience in a heavy-duty environment preferably at a sugar mill.Must have strong aptitude for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation in a sugar mill environment.Strong problem solving and fault finding skills.Experience with SAP PM or a similar maintenance management system.Personal QualitiesThe ideal candidate must work well in a team environment.Must possess good problem-solving skills.Must have physical strength, good eyesight, good health and hearing acuity.Closing Date: 04 September 2024
