We are looking for a Millwright to join our company in the FMCG industry
Location: George, Western Cape
Purpose of the Role: To ensure maximum uptime of production equipment, maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failure.
To be responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting and repairing equipment whilst following safety rules and regulations.
Key Performance Indicators for this role (but not limited to): Fault finding and proactively repairing machineryCoordinate and execute preventative maintenance at planned intervals to enable the production team to produce high, quality and safe productsReduce downtime in the production areas through effective and applied maintenance processesJob Summary (but not limited to): Execution of electrical, mechanical and instrumentation preventative maintenance on equipmentMaintain reliability and integrity of machine control and safety systemsEfficient fault finding and repairSelf-study to accelerate general plant knowledge machine working principles Provide technical support and expertise as may be requiredProvide on the job coaching to apprenticesPLC control system troubleshooting to IO levelResponsible for housekeeping of work areaMaintenance and housekeeping of own toolbox to 5S standards, a place for everything and everything in its placeFirst time right execution of maintenance activities (Safe, efficient, no comebacks) Test various electrical and mechanical equipment using standard test equipment and observing system/unit operationsCapturing of job cards in the preventative maintenance systemPlanning and implementation of various maintenance projects and maintenance job-cards Design and layout circuits, install fixtures, wiring conduits motors and other electrical equipment/ componentsGeneral maintenance of unused machinesIn consultation with production staff, identify equipment and areas requiring attentionConstant review of production line to ensure optimal effectivenessProvide coverage for annual and personal leave of other maintenance members across all shiftsRole Capabilities: Good communication skills with the ability to work with others to achieve objectivesHigh level of professionalism in the physical execution of maintenance tasksExcellent interpretation skills of failure root cause identificationSound and proven skills in Planning and Organizing of job-cards and spare part requirementsExtensive knowledge of Robotics (technical aptitude)Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Red Seal MillwrightNational technical diploma is advantageousMinimum 3 - 5 years post trade test experience in a similar role in an FMCG environmentValid Forklift license is advantageousValid motor vehicle drivers' licenseComputer literacyShould we not contact you within 2 weeks please consider your application unsuccessful.
