Millwright: Equipment Maintenance

Main Purpose: To ensure good availability and reliability of all overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
Key Performance Areas: Service, maintain and test overhead cranes, lifting equipment and portable electrical tools and declare it safe for plant maintenance use.Service, maintain and test pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.Conduct statutory load tests on overhead cranes and lifting equipment.Implement good housekeeping practices at all times.Any other job related duties as required from time to time.Competencies: Team player.Self-motivated.Positive attitude.Able to work under pressure and without supervision.Willing to do standby and work overtime.Good verbal and written communication skills.Punctual.Ability to work at heights and confined spaces.Safety conscious.Preferred Requirements: Grade 12/N3.Qualified Artisan (Millwright).5 Years' electrical and mechanical experience in a workshop environment.Experience in working with overhead cranes, winches and other lifting equipment.Knowledge of the legal requirements of lifting machinery and equipment.Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.Computer literate (MS Office).Valid Drivers' License.Own transport.Own standard tools and measuring equipment required for Millwright.
