Home jobs Microsoft Brand Manager: SA & Africa By admin | | Comments are Closed | 5 June, 2024 | 0 Job Title: Microsoft Brand Manager: South Africa & Africa Division: First for Cloud Location & Address: Kyalami Boulevard, Kyalami Business Park, Midrand, JHB Reports to: General Manager Direct Subordinates: 12 Total Staff in Function: 12 WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: ProcurementSales OperationsBrand OperationsAccount ManagersSystems Engineers / PresalesMarketingLogisticsRegional Managers External: VendorResellersEnd UsersVendor Alliance Partners Main Purpose of Position:To be the leader of the Microsoft business at First Distribution including but not limited to managing the following Brand areas:Brand strategy including go to market and business planningProduct managementBrand financial management including budgetingVendor engagement including programs and targetsMarketing and salesResource managementTraining and Brand support KPA PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Increase partner breadth (net partner adds) and drive new customer acquisition through those partners.Improve partner statuses through effective enablement's and promotion of each brand program.Drive all geographical markets.Develop growth strategies with partnersPromote First DistributionProduct Management by ensuring the profitability of products and management of stock efficiency and logisticsEnsure effective planning in line with vendor growth expectations and execution thereof.Ensure growth as per vendor requirementUnderstand product life cyclesEnsure all resources are aligned, committed, and understand targets and strategic objectives.Manage all the sales and technical specs on product offering in the marketManagement of pricing requirements on the various programs into various platforms.Manage distribution of price lists, marketing collateral and ensure effective communication with channel partners and internal resources.Manage timely information releases to internal resources regarding a new product or technical spec changesUnderstand processes and assist in smoothing and resolving issuesAssist with product codes, system price lists, and product costingOngoing alignment with Sales stakeholders on activities, strategic engagements,Support the brand operational and system stakeholders.Manage relationships with key vendor stakeholdersImplement and drive vendor strategy and policiesUnderstanding and alignment to vendor targets and incentivesManage vendor investment opportunities and drive executionProvide regular feedback Manage the Marketing and Sales function Prepare accurate and regular forecastsPrepare marketing plans for products and/or product sets as requiredImplement marketing plans and vendor strategiesDisseminate product informationGrow market shareIdentify new business opportunitiesFind innovative methods to market products and differentiate from competitorsBe responsible for both product and company brand awareness in terms of marketing and communication with the target marketUnderstand vendor's marketing strategies and align product's strategies accordinglyUnderstand competitor offerings and market and manage stock and pricing to maintain competitive advantageConstantly conduct market tests with channel partners to have a thorough understanding of market segment and pricing strategiesManage timely information releases to internal resources regarding a new product or technical spec changes Effective Management of Resources Manage the brand team effectivelyProvide leadership, coaching, mentoring and supportEnsure alignment between stakeholders within the Microsoft Brand teamEnsure competency-based learning and development for the team including quarterly certification Manage Training and Support of the Brand Remain constantly updated with product changes and ensure all staff are trainedPro-actively set up internal enablement sessions with Sales and Operational teams on program changes, product releases or refresher sessionsIssue sales and marketing tips to internal and external resources to assist with sell-through of productsFind unique value propositions for products and train internal and external resources accordingly Management of Profit and Loss and budgets Involvement and preparation of annual budgets for General Manager Executive approvalMonthly review and analysis of Dashboards via PowerBI and detailed salesMonthly reviews and management of GLs and Income StatementContinuously ensure that expenses are in line with budgetsHalf-year Performance Reviews with team members COMPETENCIES: Knowledge – You must know: Skills – You must be able to perform: Attributes – You must in a way that will drive successful performance which is supported by the Company's values.
