Metallurgical Engineer - Process EngineerAs a Process Engineer at a reputable specialized lead recycling company on Gauteng's East Rand, your primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently oversee the activities and resources within the Breaker, Smelter, and Refinery departments. This role is essential to optimizing lead alloy production in alignment with the sales department's requirements, ultimately contributing to the company's profitability. You will work from the manufacturing plant and report directly to the Operations Manager.
Salary: R500k ctc per annum
Location: Gauteng East Rand / Germiston - Wadeville
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Degree in Metallurgical EngineeringMinimum 2 years' experience in non-ferrous metals manufacturing environmentDemonstrated ability in improving efficiency of production processesDUTIES: Production Monitoring – Monitoring and controlling production processes to most effectively utilise available resources.Project Management – Effective project management to drive improvement projects through to completion.Change Management – Ability to effect change and gain buy-in from all stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Effectively supervise – effective resource management and correct utilization of consumables as per the SOP's and WI so that the production targets are met.Profitability – Supervise resources to identify bottlenecks and non-compliances and correct.Compliance with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality initiatives of the company.Ensure target ZERO/ZERO harm in the departments.Management of process, material and equipment specifications and sourcing of alternative superior quality materials, equipment and processes.OTHER: Well-developed people interpersonal skills.Ability to drive projects to execution and completion.High degree of ethics and honesty.Ability to work as a team, as well as independently, with minimal supervision.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbally and in a written format.Must be thorough, pro-active, result orientated and must work well with all levels of employees.
