Key Responsibilities:Influencing and implementing the relevant brand's merchandise strategyFinancial and strategic management of the various products e.g. product planning, controlling open-to-buy, reviewing weekly & monthly figuresManagement of the range assortments and replenishmentManagement and implementation of distribution strategy e.g. analysing stores profiles & sales trends, developing promotional & range distribution by store & clusterCommunication with stores and fieldQualifications and Experience:A relevant tertiary qualificationProven working experience as a Planner (1 - 3 years)Skills:Analytical ProcessesCommercial AcumenCustomer Service DeliveryPlanning & OrganisingPolicy & ProceduresMarket Research and AnalysisSupplier ManagementBehaviours:Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, decision making, interpersonal relations, problem solving, teamwork & written communicationComfortable and effective influencerFlexible as the environment is very dynamic and priorities can changeSets ambitious goals and takes focused action to achieve desired outcomes to deliver measurable resultsAdapts effectively to situations that are complex, uncertain, or lack guidelines and clear informationInterprets and simplifies complex and contradictory information when resolving organisational problemsAssesses and improves the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of various work processesDevelops plans and prioritises initiatives that align to the organisational goals and objectivesEffectively adjusts their behaviour, approach, and decision-making based on the situationThinks and plans strategically, focusing on the long-term goals and objectives of the organisationPreference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
