An exciting opportunity awaits in Durban's thriving media landscape for a Media StrategistMy client is seeking a talented individual to join their team, contributing to brand strategies through the development of innovative digital media strategies and offering valuable input on media campaigns managed by other agency partners.Duties & ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following responsibilities:Media Strategy: Preparation of comprehensive media strategies, motivations/presentations, and driving innovation in ongoing and tactical media strategies.Media Input: Reviewing and providing guidance on media strategies prepared by other brand partners, and sharing expertise internally.Media Leadership: Managing day-to-day media activity for brands within the portfolio, overseeing the implementation of approved strategies, briefing media planners, compiling campaign schedules, and ensuring accurate buying briefs.Media Guidance: Conducting media format research, offering input on ad types/formats.Budgeting: Strategically allocating budgets to campaigns/media platforms, and monitoring expenditure accordingly. Managing flow plans throughout campaigns.KPIs: Setting, tracking, and monitoring KPIs to ensure campaign objectives are met.Reporting: Compiling insightful post-campaign reports, including recommendations for future campaigns.Processes: Developing and implementing effective processes and operational methods to enhance the growth, effectiveness, and efficiency of the media function.Training: Providing training and upskilling to internal teams, including developing educational materials and best practice guidelines.Desired Experience & QualificationDigital Marketing Degree/Diploma3-5 years of experience in digital media planning, buying, and strategy within an agency environmentGoogle Adwords Certification and Partner Status preferred, along with Facebook Blueprint Certification and Twitter Flight School CertificationProficiency in managing, optimizing, analyzing, and reporting across various channels including Social Media Platforms, Google Media (Display, Search, YouTube), Online Publishers, Programmatic, and detailed knowledge of non-digital media channels.Package & Remuneration
