Mechanical Manager Water Treatment

Minimum Qualifications:BSc / BEng Mechanical EngineeringProfessional Registered EngineerAt least 5 years exposure to water treatment plantsNot less than 7 years experience in a similar environment with a strong mechanical background; experience in industrial process plants would be an advantage.Responsibilities:Initiate, supervise, and approve the basic and detailed mechanical engineering design.Interface with fabrication/construction functions to execute projects.Provide input on mechanical aspects related to tenders and projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and optimising mechanical components offered.Compile RFQs for mechanical scope of work and evaluate vendor quotes/tenders.Design and approve equipment, vessels, piping, structures, etc.Approve and sign-off vendor and internal cross-discipline designs.Oversee equipment design and fabrication.Control and manage site work.Assist with the Procurement function by compiling a detailed mechanical scope of supply for mechanical subcontract, conducting technical evaluations, and attending or leading kick-off meetings with vendors and mechanical subcontractors.Manage mechanical subcontractors and suppliers to meet deliverables (technical, programme, cost).Desired Skills:Water treatmentMechanical EngineeringProject engineeringProject ManagementDesired Work Experience:5 to 10 yearsDesired Qualification Level:Degree
