Job Title: Communications ManagerLevel: 13PResponsibilities:Drive development and management of FedEx Communications program regionally, focusing on reputation building, external media relations, issues and crisis management, and community relations.Support business and communications objectives; ensure that FedEx is properly represented in external channels including media and social in a cost-effective manner.Drive content development including Q&As, speeches, articles, presentations, and briefing materials as well as social/digital channels that support Communications programs.Develop and implement crisis communications to ensure all external critical issues are handled appropriately and minimize risks to the brand.Build relations and drive community programs with non-profit organizations; seek, review, and submit community relations requests for programs to ensure alignment with business objectives.Implement approved regional community relations activities to effectively position FedEx.Develop and use quarterly analytics to optimize programs and drive communications results.Job Requirements:Master's or bachelor's degree in public relations and/or communications.At least eight (8) years of experience in the Communications discipline with good knowledge of social media principles.Strong media relations experience and proven track record in reputation building.Solid understanding of project management principles and strong project management skills.Ability to support and connect business strategy to the communications strategy.Proficient command of English with solid English copywriting and editing skills.Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.Experience advising and counseling senior leadership.Strong and collaborative team player.Skills:Analytical SkillsJudgement & Decision Making SkillsLeadership SkillsPresentation SkillsInfluencing & Persuasion SkillsFedEx is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer committed to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce.
