Management of the full marketing function of the organisation.
National and Branch Level Marketing Strategy and Plans Formulation, Implementation and Execution:
Formulate and implement the marketing strategic plan on a company and branch level which should achieve the company strategic objectives including but not limited to:
Brands visibility and positioning within South Africa and Southern Africa.
Revenue growth and diversification in line with the company budgets and product development plans.
Increase in market share and capture of new markets.
Alignment of the strategy and planning on a national and branch level.
Provide continuous insights in Southern African markets, product development trends, overall SA market situation to support the overall company strategy. In coordination with Sales and Product divisions, formulate and undertake the formal customer survey for a statistical sample of Grandmark customers regarding the following key strategic areas:
Overall brand experience
Key brand weaknesses and strengths as experienced by customers
Overall feedback and suggestions from the market
Develop and implement partnerships with each significant supplier (brand owner/promoter) to ensure structured joint campaigns are implemented throughout the year with customer incentives that assist the company in achieving its objectives. Negotiate the marketing contributions and budgets with the suppliers.
Corporate identity and branding management:
Develop company standards for all brands to ensure consistency of corporate identity and branding.
Ensure company assets are utilised effectively for marketing and promotion purposes, including marketing and advertising on company vehicles, buildings, and other assets.
Manage company marketing and advertising merchandise and corporate uniforms to minimise costs and maximise impact. Develop corporate uniform standards and merchandise planning and distribution.
Manage company signage on a national and branch level.
Oversee company front end and branches front end branding and corporate identity management (including any area exposed to customers).
Develop and maintain the company corporate brochure and portfolio for representation with all stakeholders.
Review and standardise all company packing and wrapping to ensure consistent branding and quality.
Management of the overall company presence in the markets as well as company reputation and footprint:
Organise and manage customer trade dates, roadshows, and events in collaboration with branches, sales, and product divisions.
Ensure appropriate company presence in industry printed media, including industry journals and magazines.
Engage directly with customers and suppliers on a continuous basis in coordination with sales and product teams.
Promote the company's social responsibility position, sustainable development objectives, and social contributions including all elements of company value add.
Digital Marketing management:
Oversee Grandmark website design and maintenance.
Reposition and reformulate the company digital presence strategy and plan for all social media platforms. Formulate company KPIs for each digital platform. Ensure Grandmark brands visibility and prioritisation on all applicable search engines.
Develop and implement the website for company retail operations (Drive).
Manage QR campaigns and promotions.
Management of suppliers and service providers for the area of responsibility, cost management, and optimisation:
Manage supplier and service provider contracts in compliance with company policies and procedures to maximise benefits for the company.
Oversee the purchase order process for the area of responsibility in compliance with company policies and procedures to maximise benefits for the company.
Safeguard and maintain appropriate controls over the company merchandise, promotional items, and corporate uniforms to ensure no items are unaccounted for or used outside of their original purpose.
Manage the budget for the area of responsibility.
