We are looking for a highly skilled and analytical Market Access Manager to join our client's clinical research network team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing market access strategies with a strong emphasis on Health Economics frameworks. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful market entry while adhering to regulatory and healthcare system requirements.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional from the healthcare sector to drive market access initiatives for groundbreaking healthcare products and someone who has a passion for improving patient access to innovative treatments and navigating the complexities of healthcare systems.

This is a remote role and may require travel for payer meetings, policy discussions, and industry conferences.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Life Sciences, or a related field (required). An advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, or a related discipline is preferred.
5-7 years of experience in Market Access, Health Economics, or Reimbursement within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
Strong knowledge of health economic models, payer environments, and reimbursement policies.
Proven experience working with healthcare payers, government agencies, and health systems, particularly within Africa.
Expertise in health economic models, cost-effectiveness, and budget impact analysis.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software for health economics evaluations.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Market Access Strategy Development:
Develop and implement market access strategies for pharmaceutical and healthcare products.
Analyse market trends, healthcare policies, and reimbursement landscapes for optimal product positioning.
Collaborate with commercial, regulatory, and clinical teams to align strategies with business objectives.
Health Economics Framework:
Design and implement health economic models to showcase product value to healthcare systems and policymakers.
Conduct cost-effectiveness and quality-of-life analyses to support pricing and reimbursement decisions.
Integrate health economic data into product development and regulatory submissions.
Reimbursement and Payer Engagement:
Build and maintain relationships with payers, including public health authorities and insurance companies.
Prepare dossiers for reimbursement negotiations and product inclusion in formularies.
Advocate for product value propositions using health economic evidence.
Policy and Regulatory Alignment:
Monitor changes in healthcare policy and reimbursement regulations to ensure compliance.
Develop policy positions that promote patient access and align with market access goals.
Provide input to health policy stakeholders on product value, including cost savings and improved health outcomes.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development, and pharmaceutical sales teams to ensure alignment on strategies.
Ensure product data and evidence align with health economic requirements.
Market Research & Competitive Intelligence:
Conduct market research on the competitive landscape, payer requirements, and patient needs.
Stay informed on competitors' strategies and adjust the approach as necessary.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyse health economic data, pricing trends, and market conditions.
Prepare reports and presentations on market access strategies and health economics outcomes for senior management.
