Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Market Access Manager to join their team in South Africa. This role is pivotal in ensuring that their medicines are available and accessible to patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing and reimbursement strategies, ensuring new products, including the specialist product portfolio, gain patient access in close collaboration with the local Market Access Team and other departments.Develop, lead, and execute the national market access strategy in collaboration with the team.Prepare and submit local price and reimbursement applications.Lead hospital access, tender, and negotiation processes.Analyze trends, competitors, and pricing factors that impact local access and pricing.Assist in developing pricing strategies and forecasts.Partner with the medical team to generate local evidence (e.g., registry data) to drive access.Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders within various payer bodies in South Africa.Participate in cross-functional work and contribute as a team player.Qualifications & Skills:University degree in health economics, pharmacy, business economics, or a related field.Proven understanding of health economics principles.Ability to develop trust-based relationships with key external stakeholders.Strong negotiation, influencing, and analytical skills.Strategic mindset and business acumen.Proficient in English, both spoken and written.In-depth understanding of the external pharmaceutical environment in South Africa.Strong project management skills, including planning and time management.Preferred Qualifications & Skills:Experience in oncology and/or other specialist areas.Previous experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry or a government body.Enjoys working in cross-functional teams.Excited to work in a global company with strong values and a supportive local office environment. #LI-DNP #LI-CES IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries.
