Ensure compliance with EHS and Saint-Gobain regulations and guidelines to uphold quality expectations of customers and company.
Manage Technical Projects (CAPEX and OPEX) and ensure they are completed on time, in full and on budget (OTIF).
Manage production and ensure that production is done according to the Production Plan and ensure that products produced are to an acceptable standard.
Align and execute strategic projects according to the priorities of the business.
Identify training and development opportunities for Shift Leader and their teams and monitor progress against KPIs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and monitor all control procedures, recommending improvements to improve plant efficiencies such as OEE, Availability, MTBF and MTTR.
Lead, coach and manage the engineering and production teams to ensure an engaged workforce.
Create an environment within the team that stimulates creativity and innovation.
Is this job for you?
An ideal candidate must have an appropriate university degree (BSC, B.Eng. Electrical / Industrial / Mechanical) and knowledge and application of continuous improvement methodologies.
You need to have 8 years work experience in a Production or Process discipline in a continuous process manufacturing environment, with 3 years of that experience in a management/leadership role. Ability to lead cross-functional project teams to successful completion is essential. Experience working within ISO9001, ISO14001, and OSHAS145001 systems is required.
Good communication skills, knowledge, and application of company disciplinary procedures are necessary.

Responsible for managing and coordinating direct reports and manufacturing activities, utilizing systems knowledge of product function, WCM methodology, procedures, and machine and equipment capabilities.
Provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing facility including overseeing plant production, materials, equipment, and tools to ensure efficiency is maintained and projects remain on schedule.
Maximise Yield; OEE; TE; EHS and minimise unplanned stops, breakdowns and HERCAs through continuous improvement methods, technology, equipment, and materials and partnership with key stakeholders. Responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for the Engineering and Maintenance functions of the business and to facilitate the achievement of the business plan.
