Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Negotiation: Lead and execute commercial negotiations with suppliers, customers, and logistics providers to secure optimal terms and conditions for the businessContract Management: Develop, implement, and manage coal and logistics contracts, ensuring compliance and risk mitigationFinancial Management: Oversee cash flow planning and management, including supplier reconciliation, invoice verification, and payment processingData Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze market trends, pricing, and performance metrics to inform strategic decision-makingCoal and Vessel Costing: Develop and maintain accurate cost models for coal and vessel transportation, including transport rates, port costs, demurrage, and other related expensesTeam Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize commercial processes and achieve business objectivesRisk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring business continuity Minimum requirements: CA (SA) qualification is mandatoryProven experience in the coal trading and logistics industry is advantageousStrong commercial acumen and negotiation skillsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelingExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersResults-oriented with a strong drive to achieve business objectives
