JOB DETAILS Base pay starts at $27.50 - $35.00 per hour 1st Shift: Rotating Shifts 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES An Electrical Mechanical Controls Technician must demonstrate an ability to safely troubleshoot, change, install and commission all components of mechanical and electrical systems. Responsibilities include:
Safely troubleshoot, analyze and repair components of mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, MCC's, VFD's, transformers, switch gears, lighting, relays, Programmable Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley preferred), and similar equipment.Ensure compliance with applicable Safety Standards and procedures.Execute equipment repair procedures and maintain good housekeeping in work areas.Enter equipment repair history and close out work orders.Update repair procedures as needed.Additional responsibilities include:
Understanding all safety rules necessary for working with hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical apparatus.Working on complex projects and making decisions based on findings.Installing and repairing various electrical equipment.Using welding equipment and electricians' hand tools.Diagnosing and correcting trouble in electrical systems.Performing visual and mechanical inspections of machinery.Following the preventive maintenance program established by the company.Maintaining buildings and notifying management of major repair needs.Providing direction to new maintenance mechanics.Maintaining continuous improvement efforts in the work area.May be assigned additional projects or duties as designated by Team Leader.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Mechanical Technician in an industrial manufacturing facility.Demonstrated commitment to electrical safety and strong troubleshooting skills.Experience with pneumatic and mechanical systems.Medium Voltage troubleshooting and repair (480 VAC) (750VDC).Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, and applicable OSHA standards.Experience with Transformers Maintenance and Testing, Three Phase Motors, DC Motors and Motor Controls, Servo Motors and Controls, PLC's, HMI's, VFD's, Analog Circuits, MCC's, and Electrical Area Classification.Proficient in reading and understanding electrical diagrams and technical manuals.Additional informationSite Address: 2280 Monier Ave, Lithia Springs, GA 30122.
