Manager, Regional Collections & Capability West Africa Job Overview Business Segment: Personal & Private Banking
Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, Baker Street 30
To design and maintain comprehensive Capabilities and Strategies for Collections, Rehabilitations & Recoveries operations model for Africa Regions, Credit that defines best-practice strategies, systems, structures and process measurements.
Assist countries with risk mitigation in line with IFRS9 model. To serve as a Senior Subject Matter Expert on delinquency recoveries and automation initiatives for the Group across Credit Africa Credit Risk Operations, setting the benchmark by which all of the Bank's businesses will originate credit recoveries and technology applications in Collections, Recoveries & Rehabilitations in those markets. Ensure countries are advised of available systems which can improve overall business performance. Credit Bureau feeds to and from the bank to ensure updates of information.
Ensure country preparedness for audits through support and identification on clearance of known issues.
Representing West Africa, including: Ghana, Angola, Namibia, Nigeria and South Africa.
Qualifications Experience:
5-7 years in Risk Management/ Portfolio Performance Management/ Impairment Performance / Collections Strategy Management / Vendor Negotiations.
3-4 years in Recoveries and Rehabilitations Capability Improvement / Intelligent Automation of collection processes / Application in credit capabilities and training.
3-5 years experience in financial services or insurance across multiple regions.
Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
