As Manager, Planning and Operations, you will be entrusted as a key business partner to develop purposeful collaborations between the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and designated departments across Temerty Medicine. You will provide functional and operational leadership to Department Chairs and the CAO regarding short- and long-term strategic planning, ensuring the optimization of operational efficiencies between different academic, research and administrative units.
Essential Qualifications University degree, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant fieldA minimum of 5 years' senior administrative experience, preferably in a University or healthcare environmentStrong financial acumen, including financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting experienceExperience developing high functioning teams, including a proven track record of success in leading and mentoring staff in a unionized environmentExperience in research administration, including reviewing and negotiating research-related agreementsEducation program management experience in an academic environment, and knowledge of higher education curriculum and accreditation processesFamiliarity with office renovation, capital projects and space managementExperience scoping and managing projects and leading successful changeProven commitment to equity, diversity and inclusivityProven leadership and management skills, including outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsSuperior planning and project management skills with a focus on executing and competing tasks under pressure and within tight deadlinesAbility to maintain a broad perspective, and the ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with all levels of faculty, staff, learners, senior administrators and external stakeholdersStrong technical skills, including knowledge of the University of Toronto's Administrative Management System (AMS) and a facility for working with project management tools and keep current with new and emerging technologiesAdvanced consulting skills, with the ability to work across the organization to influence decisions for a positive outcomeExcellent conflict resolution skills with strong ability to exercise judgement, tact, discretion, and determinationAssets Completion of a recognized professional accounting program (CMA, CGA, or CA)Closing Date: 11/14/2024, 11:59PM ET
