Job Purpose
To manage and contribute within a team of Data Engineers with a shared vision of building, maintaining, and supporting data pipelines that enable efficient campaigning and easy insights with a focus on data reliability and quality.
Job Responsibilities
Support existing data pipelines when required.
Identify areas for optimizing and maintaining existing data pipelines to improve efficiencies and availability.
Contribute towards the development and implementation of new capabilities to deliver relevant data.
Structure data into compliance standards by adhering to metadata governance procedures according to Nedbank documented standards and formats.
Follow proper development life cycles as agreed within the team.
Maintain code repositories with compliance to standards, systems, processes, and procedures.
Contribute to internal/external information sharing initiatives.
Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team, stakeholders, and work.
Commit to constant personal growth and stay abreast of developments in the field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.
Encourage the growth and development of direct reporting Data Engineers.
Align on stakeholder demand and priorities to ensure the right work is delivered at the right time and at the right quality.
Provide management reporting on team performance, being able to identify gaps of growth.
Minimum Experience Level
3 years in Data Engineering
Essential Qualifications
- NQF Level Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
Degree in Information Technology or Information Systems.
